Finetune your frequency. Show up & engage.
Wavelength grew directly out of my own experience as someone diagnosed later in life as neurodivergent. I spent time trying to understand the expansiveness that exists within my identity as a neurodivergent person, and in doing so, I came to better understand my relationship with my senses.
The eerie stillness of the pandemic changed that relationship. It set my unconscious masking back to a factory reset. When the world grew quiet, I noticed things about how I experienced space that I had spent years learning to tune out without even realizing it.
As the world began to reopen, I looked for ways to re-enter it prepared — without sacrificing the human connections that make being out in the world worth it in the first place.
“Wouldn’t it be better to have some idea of what to expect, so you can better prepare?”
Preparing for anything sounds like a viable option — but you never know when the space you have to enter will be overstimulating in a way that works directly against your ability to connect. I started thinking about how to change that. How to walk in already knowing. How to protect my energy and still show up for the people and moments that matter.
Wavelength is the result of that thought quest.
Wavelength is a way to build your sensory profile, track spaces as you experience them, and — as Wavelength expands — a place to know before you go.
Community members rate real venues across seven sensory dimensions, so you can understand how a space actually feels before you arrive:
Wavelength is built on the experiences of people who live this every day. My background in equity and inclusion tied naturally into its creation — because preparation is a form of access, and access should belong to everyone.
Every profile set, every venue rated, and every review shared makes the map a little clearer for the next person. That is the whole idea: we tune the frequency together.
With care,
